WOODVILLE, WI – With snow on the ground and hopes for more, snowshoeing becomes a way to enjoy winter. The Baldwin and Woodville Public Libraries and the Baldwin-Woodville School District are sponsoring their annual evening snowshoe hike at Giezendanner School Forest on Friday, February 22. The snowshoeing (hiking, if no snow) begins at 6:00 and goes until 8:30.  There will also be a bonfire and treats.

If you want to try snowshoeing, this is the perfect opportunity. The trails are easy and lighted; the use of snowshoes is free. Snowshoeing is easily mastered and is suitable for people of all ages.   All that is needed is for you to dress for the weather and wear boots.

Pre-registration is requested by Wednesday, February 20 so that the right sized snowshoes will be available for you. Pre-registration can be done by calling 715-222-0021 or emailing: dwalters@bwsd.k12.wi.us.

If you own snowshoes pre-registration is not needed, just come and join us.  The school forest is located at 2424 30th Ave., the corner of BB and 30th.
