BALDWIN, WI – Last Monday we played a great game in Prescott and won 1-0 in a conference battle. Collin Bensen started and earned the win by pitching 5 innings, allowing only 1 hit and no runs. Bailey Skeleton earned the save by pitching the last 2 innings and allowing no hits or runs.

Our only run was on a sacrifice fly by Blaine Guthrie in the top of the first that drove in Alex Bishop.  We played great defense the rest of the way to hold onto the 1-0 victory.

On Thursday, May 24, we traveled to Menomonie for the first round of playoffs where we lost 5-1. Ben Schmoker pitched a good game allowing 3 earned runs on 9 hits, walking none and striking out 2.

On the other side the hard throwing Kressin pitched for Menomonie and held us to 1 run on 4 hits, 1 walk, and struck out 8.

Robert Crowley drove in Andrew Klopp with a double in the 6th inning.  We also had hits from Sam Crowley, Jake Carlson, and Ben Schmoker.

We finished the season 8-6 in conference and in 3rd place and 11-9 overall.

We want to thank the Blackhawk Seniors and their parents for all the dedication and hard work that helped make the B-W baseball program a success. Their efforts have definitely put the program on the right track for these past four years and for the future.

We wish them all the best on their future endeavors!
