POYNETTE, WI – The Wisconsin Football Coaches Association (WFCA) is proud to announce its 2019 Hall of Fame Class and Award winners. Inductees and award recipients will be recognized at the WFCA Hall of Fame Banquet at the Marriott West in Middleton on March 30, 2019. Elmwood’s Richard ‘Dick’ Jones is to be enshrined in the Hall of Fame along with three other deserving Wisconsin Assistant Coaches: Keith Bradley, Almond and Wild Rose, Jim Harris, Ithaca and Richland Center and Bruce Wittenwyler, Watertown.

Other Award Winners - NHSACA – Frank Budzisz, Milwaukee Tech and John Koronkowicz, Waupaca are the 2019 NHSACA (National High School Athletic Coaches Association) inductees from Wisconsin.

Dave Mcclain Distinguished Service Award – Mark Stewart, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. 

Marge and Dick Rundle Positive Influence Of Coaching Award – Steve Jones, Kimberly HS.

2019 WFCA HALL OF FAME INDUCTEES - High School Head Coaches: Ken Belanger, Frederic HS, Mike Bartholomew, Oak Creek HS, Don Kendzior, Luck HS and Terry Laube, Owen-Withee HS.

College Head Coaches - Mike Emendorfer, UW-Platteville. Combination Head and Assistant Coaches - Steve Dinkel, Jefferson HS/UW-Whitewater and William Forster, River Fall HS.

Richard ‘Dick’ Jones was a long time K-12 Physical Education Teacher and coach at Elmwood High School and retired following the 2013-14 school year.  Dick Jones started his career at Elmwood in the fall of 1984 and coached a variety of sports, but his most loved sport was coaching high school football.  

The WFCA Hall of Fame inducted its inaugural class in 1980. Since then they have honored those that have made a difference in football in our great state each year at the annual awards banquet. At the present time the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame is located in Camp Randall Stadium at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and in the Atrium at Lambeau Field in Green Bay.
