BALDWIN, WI – We hope you’ve been reading in the Woodville Leader all about the great accomplishments our State Champion Baldwin-Woodville Marching Band has had this past fall. The band may be done marching, but they aren’t done learning and playing wonderful music! This group of creative students is now working on music for their upcoming Holiday Concerts and their upcoming trip to the 2019 Outback Bowl over New Years.

Before getting to the concert, the Baldwin-Woodville Bands will be hosting the their 4th Annual Dad’s Belgian Waffle Breakfast. This delicious breakfast fundraiser for the bands takes place on Saturday, December 1 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.  Join our hardworking musicians at the Baldwin American Legion for all you can eat waffles, with a variety of tasty syrups and creamy whipped topping, sausages, coffee, milk, and juice. Presale tickets are $8.00 for age 5+. At the door tickets are $9.00. Under 5 years old are free. Carryouts will be available. Contact your favorite band member for presale tickets or B-W Band Booster President Marla Butler at 715-379-6238. Funds raised go towards their trip to Outback Bowl. Come meet these amazing and talented students.

Changes have come to this year’s annual Holiday Concert schedule. This is such a big event shared with the Baldwin-Woodville High School Choirs that they are providing two fantastic shows to get you in the holiday spirit. The two performances are on Sunday, December 9 at the acoustically satisfying Baldwin-Woodville High School Performing Arts Center at 2:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. Tickets will become available to the public after Thanksgiving. Tickets are general seating and free but allows us to have a seat for everyone to enjoy.

We’ve been talking about new band uniforms for a few years now, but they are finally coming. The new uniforms will arrive in mid-December. These uniforms are replacing the current band uniforms that are about 15-16 years old. The B-W Band Boosters have been spending a lot of time fundraising for these sharp new uniforms that cost about $450 each. The Boosters have raised over half the needed funds and are still working on it. If you would like to help, you can make a tax-deductible donation to BW Band Boosters, P.O.  Box 397, Baldwin, WI 54002.

Pictures will be available at the Dad’s Belgian Waffle Breakfast on Saturday, December 1 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. join B-W Band members at the Baldwin American Legion.

To finish 2018 the Baldwin-Woodville Bands will travel south to Tampa, Florida for the 2019 Outback Bowl. During this trip the B-W students will participate in the National Outback Bowl Music Festival Concert Band Competition, National Outback Bowl, Ybor City New Year’s Eve Parade, and Mass Bands Halftime Production in the Outback Bowl. They will also attend a music festival awards gala, spend time at Busch Gardens, and take in the Outback Bowl football game. Memories of a lifetime will be made on this fun working vacation.

Thank you to our amazing B-W community for the continued support. We hope to see you at one or all of our upcoming events.
