Dr. Robert H. Reitz, 91, of Edgerton, WI, passed away on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Agrace Hospice and Palliative Care, Janesville. 

Robert was born on March 14, 1927 in Elmwood, WI to the late Herman and Mary (Hofacker) Reitz.  He graduated from Elmwood High School in 1944. 

After high school, Robert joined the US Navy and served during WWII.  Once he was out of the service, he attended UW-River Falls and graduated in 1948 with a Bachelor’s Degree while majoring in Music, and then continued his education at Marquette University to become a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1955. 

Just after graduating from River Falls, Robert would marry Mildred Lucille Reinkey on October 1, 1949 in Goodman, WI. He enjoyed working for over 40 years, serving the public as a dentist, retiring in 1997. 

Robert was a member of the Jaycees, the American Legion, Lions Club where he would serve as President, the Wisconsin Dental Association, American Dental Association, St. Joseph Catholic Church, Edgerton, and was part of the band, Tobacco City 7. 

Robert is survived by his loving wife, Mildred Reitz; sons: Jeffrey (Angie Nemanic) Reitz, Thomas (Tammy) Reitz, daughter-in-law: Sharyl Reitz; grandchildren:  Daniel Reitz, Elizabeth Griffin, Monica Williams, Jackie Reitz, Max Lawver, Hays Lawver; great-grandchildren: Robert, Nathaniel, William, Amelia Griffin and Dante and Sadie Williams; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a son: Mark Reitz, 5 sisters and 1 brother.

Funeral services were held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Edgerton with Fr. Dave Timmerman officiating.  Burial is at Fassett Cemetery,
