BALDWIN, WI – Jessica Moor of the Baldwin-Woodville High School FFA Chapter competed on Monday, March 18 in Leadership Development Events at Ellsworth High School for the FFA Sectional Speaking Contest.

Jessica took First Place in the Employment Skills contest competing with 16 other schools in Section 2. The Employment Skills contest consists of three areas: resume and the cover letter, job application, and an interview. FFA members must pick a job that they qualify for now that is agriculturally related.

With the First-Place win Jessica will be competing in Madison, Wisconsin, at the State FFA Convention in June. Moor is the daughter of Ann and Jesse Moor who have supported her through the process. Moor is also the former Woodville 2016-17 Syttende Mai Queen and St. Croix County Rodeo Princess. Moor has also been employed at Western Wisconsin Health.

B-W’s Maddie Jacobs also competed and got Third Place in Prepared Speaking. Maddie had to write a speech about something agriculturally related. She wrote her speech about bees and their colonies collapsing.

We congratulate our two award-winning FFA members Jessica Moor and Maddie Jacobs on their hard work at Sectionals.
