WOODVILLE, WI -- Every year, the entire 7th grade class works on an interdisciplinary unit called "Eco-Avengers.”  This project asks students to discover a call to action about a real-life environmental problem impacting our community, region, state or world.

The culmination of this work, after weeks of researching, writing, and creating a final project (including a speech, science model, and display board), is called "Eco-Avenger World Summit," which will be held on Tuesday, May 28 this year!

Students showcase their projects for the entire school, along with parents and community members. Many projects are then chosen to be recognized in our school's award ceremony, but some projects are even funded by community/school organizations!

In years past, we have asked school board members, community members, business owners, family and friends, to come over to evaluate, ask questions, and listen to presentations.

The teachers of Viking Middle School Team 7: Mr. Holen, Mrs. McLain, Mr. Paquette, Ms. Severson and Mrs. Fern-Denzer are proud of what the 2019 Eco-Avengers are working on. You will be amazed at what these students have to show you at the Eco-Avenger World Summit. We would love to have you join us and raise your environmental awareness!

This year's Eco-Avenger World Summit presentation date is Tuesday, May 28 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Viking Middle School in the gym.

We all hope to see you at the 2019 Eco-Avenger World Summit!
