SPRING VALLEY, WI – The Royalty certainly had a fun-filled holiday weekend! The cold and rain last Friday night did not deter the ladies from enjoying the evening parade in River Falls. They were excited to mingle with some new courts, and Driver Dutch did a nice job lighting up his truck for them. There were a LOT of kids there, and it was really sweet to see their faces light up when the kids were waving at them.

Saturday was quite the productive day. The ladies attended the Small Business Saturday Craft/Vendor show at the Spring Valley Event Center in the morning, where they ran a craft booth and helped sell food and raffle tickets.

After that, they headed down to Durand for their winter festivities. It was a big treat for the weather to clear up enough to allow the float to come out. Driver Dutch and Driver Gary from Baldwin worked hard to light up the float, and it looked just BEAUTIFUL!

Thank you to the Spring Valley community for their continued support. We look forward to seeing all of you at our Christmas in the Valley event on Saturday, December 8!

A reminder: The Second Annual lighted Christmas in the Valley Parade will begin at 5:30 p.m. and run along McKay Avenue from the school bus garage to the Spring Valley Community Center.

Family friendly activities will begin immediately following the parade, inside the community center. Activities will include: visits with Santa, story time with the Spring Valley Royalty, cookie decorating, craft making, chili tasting and of course plenty of hot cocoa to warm up after a chilly evening of Christmas cheer! This is a free event for the whole family and we hope you will come celebrate this magical time of year with family, friends and neighbors! Last year's event was a wonderful success for our first ever holiday parade and was enjoyed by young, old and in between… help us make this year’s Christmas in the Valley even better and brighter!
