SPRING VALLEY, WI – The ladies, Miss Spring Valley Alexis McGrane, 1st Princess Rebecca Schneider and Princess Rachael Bell were excited to wear their new gowns and begin their summer parade season at the Syttende Mai parade in Woodville this past weekend.

Despite the chilly weather, the rain held off and they still had a wonderful time. There were 27 different Royalty Courts in attendance, and it was a real treat to meet so many wonderful Sparkle Sisters from other towns. The ladies also had the pleasure of attending the evening Royalty Coronation and watching a new group of ladies begin their journey. This weekend was the first of many more to come, and Alexis, Rebecca and Rachael are looking forward to it all.

Speaking of new journeys, have you ever considered running for a spot on the Spring Valley Royalty Court? We are looking for Candidates! The Spring Valley community is looking for positive role models to represent our great town. To be eligible, you must be entering your sophomore or junior year of high school and you must be a student of the Spring Valley School District.

We will have an informational meeting for prospective Candidates and their Parents at Handy Andy Park on Saturday, June 15 at 2 p.m. If you can’t make the meeting, you must contact either a member of the current Royalty Court or the Coordinator by June 30 and get an application packet. The Coordinator Lisa Wood can be reached at any time via email: svroyaltywi@gmail.com or phone at 715-441-6833 for questions or concerns.

The Royalty ladies would like to thank the Spring Valley Lions Club, Chamber of Commerce, and the community of Spring Valley for their support of our Royalty Program. We look forward to a fun summer of making you proud! Our next parade is in Roberts for their Good Neighbor Days on Sunday, June 2 at 11 a.m.
