SPRING VALLEY, WI – A decision was made this morning at 7:30 a.m., Thursday, April 11 to delay the delivery of our publications, the Sun-Argus, Woodville Leader and Valley Values Shopper due to the historic spring storm that has hit our region.

With a large snow accumulation overnight and snow possibly mixed with rain yet today and blizzard conditions with gusting winds of possibly 50 m.p.h. or greater, it has led to unsafe travel conditions which has been advised against by the authorities. That has closed area schools, had municipal snowplows pulled on and off the roads; it was a real concern for the safety of our delivery driver Bill Lawler that we decided to hold off delivery of the papers today.

We anticipate that we can get your newspapers and shoppers out to the post offices and newsstands tomorrow, but that will be dependent on safe conditions. I assure we will get today’s paper delivered as soon as it is safe to do so.

Thank you for your patience and continued loyalty to our publications, the Sun-Argus, Woodville Leader and Valley Values Shopper.

Stay safe!
