ELMWOOD, WI – The ladies of the Elmwood Area Enrichment Council are like-minded individuals that live generously and are pleased to announce their next fundraising event to benefit the Historic Auditorium. Please mark your calendars to support this event on Saturday, April 27 from 11-1:30 as they will serve up delicious “salads for the soul” and a “feast for the eyes quilt display!”

For over 30 years the Council has supported numerous projects to restore the Auditorium some of which were: restoring the hand-painted stage curtain, upholstering the historic theater chairs, purchasing kitchen equipment, contributing to a sound system, purchasing Christmas lights for the streets, as well as supporting Elmwood's Historical Group, the Heritage Nursing Home, the Elmwood food pantry, the Elmwood Public Library and the Spring Valley Stage Hands Theatre. Since 2016 alone, the Council has raised $11,000 to enrich the Elmwood Area community!

Their new campaign is to provide funding for the remodel of the Auditorium bathrooms which is expected to require thousands of dollars. That project was kicked off by a $500 grant obtained by Jim and Joanne Baier through the “living generously” program of Thrivent Financial. These funds will be used locally and provide a double benefit by supporting Elmwood's main street businesses.

Anyone with a quilt of any size or design, including potholders, table runners, doll quilts, etc. are invited to join in the display on April 27. Please contact any of the ladies in the photo above.

Please help these generous hard-working ladies raise enough money to continue making improvements to the Historic Elmwood Auditorium. The Council is actively seeking new members to join in its purpose of enriching the lives and history of the Elmwood Area.
