ELMWOOD, WI – On a picture-perfect 68-degree sunny Elmwood day, Mr. E. Bunny hopped into Butternut Park on Saturday afternoon, April 20. He hopped in to the delight of 109 area children who signed up for the drawings before being let loose to hunt for brightly colored plastic Easter eggs hidden throughout the park. The eggs were filled with candy that soon filled their baskets and sacks.

Each child put their name in an age appropriate basket for the prize drawings for bikes and some awesome door prizes.

After the hunt there were pictures to get taken with Mister Easter Bunny (Josh Bleskacek). The Easter Bunny was assisted by the lovely members of the Elmwood Royalty of Miss Elmwood Taylin Delong, Princesses Araya Carson (First Princess) and Bailey Ginsbach and Junior Royalty of Taylor Asher and Riley Ginsbach. The event was also cared for by Jessie Bleskacek and other helpful volunteers.

The bike winners by age group were: 0-3, Lawrence Hewitt and Annabelle Wood; 4-7, Olivia Knegendorf and Sam Hartung; 8-12, Macie Garfield and Jason Delong. The other prize winners names were lost in Bunny’s pocket. Congratulations to all the winners!

This popular annual family friendly event was sponsored for the delight of the community children by the Elmwood Community Club who thanks everyone for coming and to the generous donors for their contributions as well as the volunteers who make this annual event special for the area kids.

The Easter Bunny is looking forward to hopping into Elmwood in 2020, hopefully back outside again for the annual Easter Egg Hunt at Butternut Park.
