SPRING VALLEY, WI – With the expansion of operations at Crystal Cave, Stephanie Tardiff has relocated from Unity, Maine to Spring Valley, Wisconsin to join the executive management team.

Crystal Cave is currently undergoing their largest facilities expansion since opening in 1942. This includes the construction of Tee-Rex mini-golf, a new restroom building, overlook, and interpretive prairie trails.

Along with the facility improvements and additional educational resources, Crystal Cave is also expanding their executive management team.

Stephanie grew up in Maine, earning her Bachelors of Science in Earth and Environmental Science at Unity College in Unity Maine. Her most recent professional position was with AmeriCorps. At AmeriCorps Stephanie supervised AmeriCorp volunteers, who worked with local businesses and community organizations to assist low-income homes obtain energy efficiency, cost-savings and reduction of their carbon footprint.

Crystal Cave in Spring Valley, located in the heart of Western Wisconsin, has the honor of being the longest cave in the state and a top show cave in Wisconsin with visitors from all over the world. Crystal Cave was discovered in 1881 and in 1942 it opened for tours and has been educating the general public as well as students on the importance of caves and the environment for over 75 years.

Crystal Cave is also involved with numerous research projects, in partnership with the WI DNR and a number of Universities. Crystal Cave is an active member of the International Show Cave Association (ISCA) and the National Show Cave Association (NCA).
