SPRING VALLEY, WI – It has been reported on line that Spring Valley Middle-High School Principal Mrs. Gretchen Cipriano will be leaving her position of 15 years with SV Schools for a new job with the Durand-Arkansaw School District beginning in the fall of 2019. A request for confirmation from District Administrator Dr. Don Haack and Principal Cipriano were left unanswered to the Sun-Argus by press time.

However, this appears to be confirmed in the Spring Valley Board of Education Special Meeting notes of Monday, May 6, 2019 provided by District Administrator Don Haack (also on this page). The last item listed states: “The Board discussed the hiring timeline for the new MS/HS principal…”

Purportedly Spring Valley Middle-High School Principal Gretchen Cipriano submitted a letter of resignation on Thursday, May 2 to District Administrator Dr. Don Haack after spending 15 years in the position as principal at the Middle/High School.

Mrs. Cipriano earned her doctorate in Educational Leadership and has accepted the position of Director of Teaching and Learning at the Durand-Arkansaw School District.

Also, purportedly, Mrs. Cipriano’s new role will give her the opportunity to work with staff and students at all grade levels and have duties which include elementary-level responsibilities.

The reports further state that Cipriano will be officially leaving the Spring Valley School District at the end of June and will be in her new position by the fall 2019, according to Dr. Haack.

Cipriano has stated in the reports that the students of Spring Valley are amazing!
