ELMWOOD, WI – The 133rd Saint Paul Winter Carnival, the “Coolest Celebration on Earth” was an absolute blast! All 90 of my Sparkle Sisters (other community royalty) and I were able to bear the January cold and make it an amazing weekend!

We had the pleasure of meeting the Winter Carnival Royal Family and even attended their coronation. We were even able to meet some of the past royalty and learn about the legend behind the St. Paul Winter Carnival.

The Royal Family includes Boreas “King of the Winds,” and Aurora, the Saint Paul Winter Carnival’s Queen of Snows. She is accompanied by four other women serving as the North, East, West, and South Wind Princesses, as well other members of their court.

The weekend wouldn’t have been complete without the wonderful activities we had to fill our days, such as visiting the Landmark Center, creating a beautiful painting with instruction from the team at Cheers Pablo. We enjoyed walking together in the St. Paul Winter Carnival Grand Parade. We also enjoyed visiting Kellogg Park to see the wonderful ice sculptures. Additionally we visited the Vulcan Snow Park, seeing the fantastic snow sculptures there, and we even got to go riding down a giant snow slide!

Thank you so much to everyone who made this St. Paul Winter Carnival experience possible for me and to all my wonderful Elmwood community members for supporting my reign!
