WOODVILLE, WI – Hey Woodville are you ready for some old-fashioned family fun? Have you been wanting to get outside, be entertained, have a “World Famous” Lions hamburger or hot dog? Well, now is your chance! It’s time for the Woodville Lions Club’s 23rd Annual Slow Pitch Softball Tournament. All are welcome to come out and enjoy the fierce competition that begins next Friday night, August 17, with the traditional Lions vs. United Fire & Rescue – Woodville Station grudge game at 7 p.m. at Steven Park.

The Woodville Lions Club will be holding their August meeting at Steven Park next Monday night with a work session before the meeting to get the ball field in tip-top condition. They will place the picnic tables and put trash barrels out and around the Steven Park picnic shelter area and put up security fencing to separate the playground from the ball field area.

The food and concession stands, where those “World Famous” Lions hamburgers, and other tasty items are made and sold along with those yummy gigantic cookies, chips and candy, along with lots of cold beverages will be fully stocked for you for next weekend.

“All systems are go for another great 23rd Annual Slow Pitch Softball Tournament,” Lion Jason has reported. The Lions expect eight or nine solid good teams will compete again this year. The competition begins this Friday night with the Woodville Lions vs. United Fire & Rescue – Woodville Station holding their traditional matchup at 7 p.m.

Once more the Woodville Lions Club is extending an invitation to all in the community to attend the Woodville Lions 23rd Annual Slow Pitch Softball Tournament next weekend at Steven Park where the weather will be perfect, the beverages cold, the hamburgers “World famous,” and the softball competition fierce!

Bring the whole family and enjoy the old-fashioned family fun of some grand softball games in Woodville. Remember it is your support of the Lions Club that allows them to “Serve” the community in so many good ways!
