WOODVILLE, WI -- Join the World Day of Prayer service on Friday, March 4, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church located at 221 Lockwood Street, Woodville, WI, 54028 to celebrate this year’s WDP theme from Mark 10: 13-16, “Receive children. Receive Me.”

This year’s speaker will be Brenda Bergquist. She will be presenting her exciting message, “Children of Our Community.”

“The World Day of Prayer is an international ecumenical Christian laywomen’s initiative. It is run under the motto “Informed Prayer and Prayerful Action,” and is celebrated annually in over 170 countries on the first Friday in March. The movement aims to bring together women of various races, cultures, and traditions in a yearly common Day of Prayer, as well as in closer fellowship, understanding, and action throughout the year.” Due to our strong family commitments in our area the local group invites all to attend and sincerely hope to see all family members present. If you are unable to attend, please pray with us.

“The WDP theme suggests welcoming and openness. The image evokes a welcome door, a path, and an openness to hope. As human beings we are on a permanent journey.”

Please stay after the program and join us as for Fellowship, Heavenly desserts, coffee, and tea.

*In case of a snow day on the scheduled date the cancellation date program reschedule will be: March 11, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church in Woodville.
