HUDSON, WI – Here is a list of free December events at Willow River State Park, located at 1034 County Road A, Hudson, WI 54016:

“Reusable Reads & Signs of Winter Hike!” Saturday, December 1 from 1-2 PM. Meet at the Nature Center. Make your own four season book out of old paper bags! Fill your book with your favorite things about spring, summer, fall, and winter and share it with your friends. Also a perfect idea to make your own herbarium, hiking journal, or scrapbook. Then join the Naturalist on a signs of winter hike to fill in your book. 

“Young Naturalist Classes (Ages 3-12)!” Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 10-11AM. At the Willow River State Park Nature Center. Bring your kids to the Nature Center for a fun nature-based activity hour on this Saturday. Please register at https://tinyurl.com/satparkclass. 

“Christmas Nature Crafts!” Saturday, December 15, 2018 anytime from 1-3pm at the Willow River Nature Center. Come get crafty with nature and make a Christmas ornament with natural items found outside in nature. Create one of our pieces with guided help (if needed) or make your very own creation! There will be easier ornaments for younger kids or more intricate ornaments for all other ages. “Winter Wonderland Animal Homes!” Saturday, December 22, 2018 from 1-2pm at the Willow River Nature Center. Come learn about animals that battle through the gruesome Wisconsin winters and see what kind of homes they construct to stay cozy. Get creative and make your own edible winter wonderland home out of fun winter/Christmas themed ingredients!
