  • SPRING VALLEY, WI – The Return of Java Jive to the Spring Valley Community Center June 1st, July 6th, August 3rd and December 7th, all dates 9am - 12 noon.

  • ELLSWORTH, WI – A monthly immunization clinic is held in River Falls on the first Wednesday of every month (except on Pierce County Holidays).  Immunizations are available by appointment only, between the hours of 3:00-5:00pm. The battle against weeds takes many forms depending on the location, the weeds involved, and other factors. It’s a battle we can win, however, with proper management and prevention techniques. There are ways to reduce labor and have a beautiful landscape or productive garden with minimal weeds among your desired plants.

  • ST PAUL, MN – There’s no way to predict when or where an accident will happen. That’s why the American Red Cross needs donors to give blood and platelets during Trauma Awareness Month this May and throughout the year to help ensure that trauma centers are prepared the moment an injured patient arrives.

  • RIVER FALLS, WI – For sale at the 43rd Annual UW-River Falls Colt Sale on Saturday, May 4, at the UWRF Campus Farm, 1475 S. Wasson Lane, River Falls. The young horses have been trained by UW-River Falls students enrolled in the Principles of Training Horses class under the direction of Nathan O’Connor.  The lesson horses have been used in riding classes taught at UWRF.

  • SPRING LAKE, WI – All are welcome to Spring Lake Lutheran Church on Wednesday, May 1 from 4:00 -7:00 for a delicious supper including pancakes, real maple syrup, sausage, scrambled eggs, and applesauce. Your free will offering for the supper will be used toward Spring Lake Lutheran Church mission and ministries.

  • Ag Day On Campus ‘Field Gate to Dinner Plate’ at UW-River Falls

    RIVER FALLS, WI – The University of Wisconsin-River Falls (UWRF) chapter of the Collegiate Farm Bureau will host the fourth annual Ag Day on Campus on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 to promote all that Wisconsin agriculture has to offer.

  • RIVER FALLS, WI – The Pierce County Economic Development Corporation (PC EDC) in collaboration with UW Extension, Small Business Development Center and SCORE, launch “Simple Steps for Growing Your Business,” the Small Business Workshop Series to empower owners of existing small businesses to the next level.

  • RIVER FALLS, WI – The University of Wisconsin-River Falls (UWRF) is offering a Horse Judging Youth Clinic on Saturday, April 20, at the Campus Farm, 1475 S. Wasson Lane, River Falls. The clinic is intended for 4-H and FFA youth interested in learning or improving their horse judging skills. FFA advisers, 4-H leaders and coaches are also encouraged to attend.

  • ELLSWORTH, WI – On Sunday, April 7, 2019 the Pierce County Ecumenical Choir will be performing “Light”, a collection of inspirational Lenten music, at 3 p.m. at Eidsvold Lutheran Church, Bay City, WI and 7 p.m. at Lund Mission Covenant Church, Stockholm, WI.

  • RIVER FALLS, WI – The University of Wisconsin-River Falls History and Philosophy Department will host two free public lectures April 3-4 by Professor William Cronon as part of the Walker D. and Helen Bryant Wyman Visiting Professorship in History.

  • ‘Human Trafficking In Wisconsin’ presentations to be made

    RIVER FALLS, WI – On Tuesday, April 2, and Wednesday April 3, 2019, River Falls United Methodist Church will be hosting two presentations on “Human Trafficking In Wisconsin” by Rachel Monaco-Wilcox. Both presentations will be in the River Falls United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, 127 South Second Street, River Falls, Wisconsin.

  • ELLSWORTH, WI – On Sunday, March 31, 2019 at 7 p.m. the Pierce County Ecumenical Choir will be performing “Light” a collection of inspirational Lenten music at Crossroad Community Church in Ellsworth, WI.

  • BALDWIN/ELLSWORTH, WI – U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) Executive Director Aaron C. Moore in Pierce and St. Croix County reminds foreign investors with an interest in agricultural lands in the United States that they are required to report their land holdings and transactions to USDA.

  • ST. PAUL, MN – The American Red Cross (ARC) has a severe shortage of type O blood and urges type O donors – as well as eligible blood and platelet donors of all blood types – to give now to ensure lifesaving patient care isn’t impacted this winter.

    Type O blood is the most in-demand blood type, helping patients facing life-threatening conditions and emergencies every day. Type O negative blood can be transfused to patients with any blood type and is what emergency room personnel reach for when there’s no time to determine a patient’s blood type.

  • ST. PAUL, MN — The American Red Cross is reissuing its emergency call for blood and platelet donors to give now after multiple snow storms, frigid temperatures and the government shutdown further reduced lifesaving donations.
