BALDWIN, WI – The Barron and St. Croix County UW-Extension offices will be offering two in-person BQA trainings in December.  

The first will be on Wednesday, December 12, at the Barron County Government Center, 335 E. Monroe Ave, Barron, WI.  The second will be on Tuesday, December 18, at the S. Croix County Ag Service & Education Center, 1960 8th Ave, Baldwin, WI.

  • BALDWIN, WI – The UW-Extension Eau Claire and St. Croix County offices are hosting two educational workshops on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 focusing on starting a beef enterprise. This workshop will be useful for those new to raising beef or adding beef to a dairy operation.

  • BALDWIN, WI – The Tuesday Community Supper is served the first Tuesday of every month at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 1350 Florence Street, Baldwin, Wisconsin, 54002. 

  • BALDWIN, WI - In cooperation with local businesses, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources staff will collect deer heads for chronic wasting disease (CWD) surveillance in Saint Croix and Pierce counties for testing during the 2018 archery, crossbow and gun hunting seasons.

    BALDWIN, WI – The Western Wisconsin Conservation Council (WWCC) is excited to announce its first annual field day scheduled for November 15 in Baldwin. Featured practices are tailored to farms in St. Croix County but are applicable to farms across the state with similar conservation goals.

  • MENOMONIE, WI — WESTconsin Credit Union is offering up to fourteen $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors from the Class of 2019 as part of the credit union’s Scholarship Program. The goal is to award one scholarship in each community served by a WESTconsin office. These areas include Altoona, Amery, Baldwin, Barron, Chippewa Falls, Eau Claire, Ellsworth, Hudson, Menomonie, New Richmond, Prescott, River Falls and Spring Valley. Scholarship recipients will be announced end of May 2019.

  • BALDWIN, WI – There is a Beef Cow-Calf workshop scheduled by UW-Extension offices on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at the Ag Service and Education Center, 1960 8th Ave, Baldwin WI, 54002. Registration begins at 6:15pm; program is from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.

  • BALDWIN, WI – The Tuesday Community Supper is served the first Tuesday of every month at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 1350 Florence Street, Baldwin, Wisconsin, 54002. 

    This is a free meal open to anyone in the community, served from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m.  Area churches, businesses and organizations take turns preparing and serving good nutritious food every month.

  • BALDWIN, WI – Fall is here and the cooler days are coming.  The “Diabetes Support Group” gets into full swing again.  The items that are new, the support that is always good and the advances in general make for good conversation.  Bring what you are reading about and we can discuss.  The usual date is the fourth Tuesday of Sept, Oct and November.  After the Holidays we resume in January through May again.

  • PRAIRIE DU SAC, WI – Participating Culver’s restaurants in Wisconsin will donate a percentage of their sales on Thursday, September 20, to the American Red Cross- Wisconsin Flood Relief Fund to help aid the relief efforts for those affected by the unprecedented flooding in Wisconsin. A percentage of sales will be collected on every menu item sold from the time each restaurant opens until it closes on September 20.
