BALDWIN, WI – Here are the Final results for Middle Border Conference match played at Ellsworth on Thursday, September 21, 2017.

It was a good day for the B-W girls’ golf team, we tied for 3rd on the day, but earned enough points to overtake Amery for 3rd place in the conference for the season points.

A better day for Hope Tiffany, she shot a 40 to earn medalist honors and earned 2nd place on the season for conference points, earning First Team All-Conference.

Emily McNamara finished in 12th place, earning honorable mention All-Conference.  Lindsay Burr tied for 15th, but a tie-breaker kept her out of the honorable mention placing.  We shot a 199 - our 2nd best 9-hole round of the season.  As a team, we have steadily brought our 9-hole score down all season.  We started out in the 220's and now our last two 9-hole matches have been below 200.  We will need to continue to shoot well to advance to the sectionals on October 2 at Frederic.

Here are the Team Results for the match: New Richmond 191, Somerset 197, B-W 199, Osceola 199, Ellsworth 200, SCC 202, Amery 214 and Prescott 218.

These are the Individual Results for B-W: Hope Tiffany 40 - A very good round for Hope, one off from tying the school record of 39.  She played well, started with a par, birdied the next hole and then had a few bogies in a row.  Hope drained a 25-foot putt on her last hole for par, and was medalist on the day beating Maggie Veenendall from New Richmond.  She is playing her best golf at the right time of the season!  She finished in 2nd on the season for conference points, First Team All-Conference.

Emily McNamara 51 - Another solid day for Emily!  A few putts and hazard shots cost her from the mid 40 round, but she still played good golf.  She has been consistent and is hitting a lot of good shots.  She did earn 12th on the season for Honorable Mention All-Conference.

Lindsay Burr 52 - Lindsay had a little trouble on the quick greens, and getting off the tee with her 3-wood.  Later in her round she played better golf and hit a lot of good iron shots.  She has played well lately, the scores are a little up, so I expect her to be in the 40's next week.

Lezlie Weyer 56 - A solid performance by Lezlie, she has 3 straight rounds in the 50's.  She is hitting better off the tee, and her chipping part of her game is getting good.  Putting with the quick greens today cost her some extra shots.

Ashley Burr 58 - Ashley has shot in the 50's 4 out of her last 5 rounds, so she's playing better.  She had a tough time on the greens, so her round could have been much lower today.  A couple of holes kept her score from being in the low 50's.

This is the final Conference Standings with points earned throughout the season:
