DURAND, WI – EPC junior Kassye Todd will make a return trip to the WIAA State Cross Country meet after finishing second last Saturday in the Division 3 Sectional Championship at Rolling Green Golf Course in Durand.

Todd finished with a time of 20:07.5, seven seconds behind sectional champion Erica Kallstrom of Colfax.

Josie Tiffany, a senior on the EPC team, just missed an opportunity to advance to the state meet after finishing 10th with a time of 21:17.1. Tiffany’s sister, Sophia, also ran for the Wolves and finished 41st out of 107 runners with a time of 24:02.6.

Other EPC runners included Amanda Osteen (25:40.3) and Kaitlyn Ahlers (30:15.9).

On the boys side, senior Chad Osteen was the top finisher for the Wolves, coming in with a time of 19:28.3, good for 42nd place.

Calvin Shock, Dalton Shields, and Tyler Bee also finished the course, and all came in around the 22 minute mark of the race.

The 2016 WIAA State Cross Country Championship will be held this Saturday, October 29, at the Ridges Golf Course in Wisconsin Rapids. EPC’s Kassye Todd will race at 1:45 in the girls Division 3 race.
