ELMWOOD, WI – In response to community needs, the Elmwood School District board approved establishing a self-sustaining child care center to be housed in the elementary wing of the school building. The center is set for a September 1, 2017 start date.

Now accepting enrollment for children 6 weeks to 4-years-old; the Elmwood Early Learning Center is committed to nurture your child’s social, emotional, and physical growth through developmentally and individually appropriate activities and programs while maintaining a positive partnership with you, the parents.

Ashley Zierl, a familiar face in the community, has been hired as the part-time director, while continuing her other job duties within the school district. Mrs. Zierl is entering her eighth year with the Elmwood School District. Over the years she has held various teaching positions, 4-year-old Kindergarten Teacher, Kindergarten Teacher, 2nd and 3rd grade SAGE Teacher, and Title 1 Teacher/Coordinator.

The Elmwood Early Learning Center also welcomes Allison Hinrichs as the lead preschool teacher and Kelsey Leach as the infant and toddler lead teacher. Both come to the center with previous child care teacher experience and will offer a wealth of knowledge to the growth of our center and children. Interviews are ongoing for support teachers.

Enrollment forms and further information can be found on the Elmwood School District website under the Child Care Center tab.
