ELMWOOD, WI -- Elmwood High School Class of 1967 gathered for reunion on July 22, 2017 in the backyard at Kern's Kurbside, Elmwood, Wisconsin.

The Elmwood Class of 1967 graduated in an interesting time historically. According to Wikipedia: Ronald Reagan, past movie actor and future President of the United States, was inaugurated the new governor of California on January 2, 1967.

The band the Doors released their début album The Doors. The album contained their later number one hit, "Light My Fire".

The Vietnam War was starting to really heat up. On April 4, the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. denounces the Vietnam War during his sermon at the Riverside Church in New York City.

In February of 1967 New Orleans District Attorney Jim Garrison claims he will solve the John F. Kennedy assassination, and that a conspiracy was planned in New Orleans. Also in April of 1967, WBA, WBC, and lineal Heavyweight Champion boxer Muhammad Ali refuses military service. He is stripped of his boxing title and barred from professional boxing for the next three years (his case goes to the U.S. Supreme Court and he wins in 1971 when his titles are restored).

In the NBA, the Philadelphia 76ers defeat the San Francisco Warriors 125-122 in game six to win the title. Some say this team is arguably the greatest of all time.

In May as the Class of 1967 was getting ready to graduate, Elvis Presley and Priscilla Beaulieu are married in Las Vegas.

Twenty six of fifty classmates of the Elmwood Class of 1967 were present for the 50th Class reunion. We enjoyed sharing stories and catching up on fifty years since graduation. It was a great night!
