Every month First Bank of Baldwin employees pay money to wear jeans on Fridays to be able to give to local charities.  The recipient for January is the Backpack Buddy Program that was started in 2012 to help provide children of families in need in the Baldwin-Woodville area with a backpack full of food.

Currently 40 families receive these backpacks full of food on a bi-weekly basis.  With the recent Elementary school expansion the Backpack Program has been fortunate enough to be able to share storage and preparation space in the S.T.E.M. room as well as at the First Reformed Church in Baldwin.

Both Carol and Melissa expressed a deep appreciation for all of the donations and volunteer support that the program has received from the community.
