On March 18th, Baldwin-Woodville hosted the 2017 Regional Destination Imagination tournament at BWHS. 77 teams from the St. Croix Valley Region presented their solutions to Challenges they had been working on for the past 2-4 months.

The 1st and 2nd place teams in each Challenge at each level advanced to the State tournament this coming Saturday, April 8th, 2017 at UW-Stevens Point.  Baldwin-Woodville sent nine teams to the Regional Tournament. Five teams are advancing and will compete this weekend at the state level.

Two B-W teams also earned special awards.  That One DI Team, a group of 7th graders, earned the highly esteemed Davinci Award, for their creation of an interactive hologram which they said was “technically very impressive”.  Doug Bingham, a member of the Crimson Butterflies, earned the Spirit of DI Award when he impressed the appraisers with his ability to stay in character and relay the team’s story during a particularly stressful part of the team’s performance.
