SPRING VALLEY, WI -- Select members of the Spring Valley High School Choir and Band participated in the Dunn-St. Croix All-Conference Honor’s Project this past January 25 and January 28, 2017.  This year Spring Valley had 30 students selected to perform together with other top students from Boyceville, Elmwood, Plum City, Durand, Colfax, Elk Mound, Mondovi, and Glenwood City.

The students who participated in this group submitted an application and were selected by the music directors of the Dunn-St. Croix Music Conference based on ability and participation in music activities.  The choir had the honor of working with guest conductor Carrie Loney from River Falls High School, while the band was directed by five of the conference band directors. They spent a long day perfecting difficult music on Wednesday, January 25 at Plum City High School and then after a morning rehearsal on Saturday, January 28, they performed an afternoon concert for the public that filled Plum City’s gymnasium.

Congratulations to all of the students for their selection to this group and for their dedication to music. It was fun to watch students who normally compete against each other in sports, make music together for a successful and great concert!
