SPRING VALLEY, WI – The Friends of the Spring Valley Public Library are hosting their annual Dam Days Book Sale at the Spring Valley Public Library over the Dam Days weekend. The sale is open to members of the Friends of the Library on Thursday, September 14th from 2-4pm.

The book sale will be open to the public on Friday, September 15th from 10am-2pm and on Saturday, September 16th from 11am-3pm. All proceeds go to fund the Friends of the Spring Valley Library and their mission of advocating and supporting the Spring Valley Public Library. Books will be on sale at the following prices: 10 cents for paperback, 25 cents for hardcover and 50 cents for DVDs. 

Also happening at the Spring Valley Public Library is a history presentation on Spring Valley by local historian Don Blegen on Saturday, September 16 at 1pm in the village council room located in the municipal building. This presentation will feature film footage of Spring Valley town events and floods circa 1938-40. This is a free event and open to all with refreshments provided by the Friends of the Spring Valley Public Library. Please note that a second presentation will immediately follow at 2pm if there is overcrowding for the first session.
