ELMWOOD, WI -- The Crain-Ottman American Legion Post 207, Elmwood, WI, would like to thank Hartung Electric for the donation of new LED lights at the Veteran’s Memorial Park.  Your gracious donation is much appreciated.

The Post elected and installed a new slate of officers in June.  They are:  Jerome Buerkle-Commander, Walter Carston-Vice Commander, Marilyn Galoff-Adjutant, Douglas DeLong-Membership, Finance Officer-James Bammert, Chaplin-Norman Nesmith and Sgt-at-Arms-James C. Baier.

The yearly picnic will be on Monday, August 14, 2017, at the Veteran’s Park in conjunction with the Pierce County Picnic.  Happy hour will be at 1730 hrs. and dinner will be served at 1800 hrs.  It will be pot-luck and all post members are invited.

The Crain-Ottman Post 207 received its charter on August 8, 1921, and the first Commander was John Gauvin. The original name was the Albert C. Crain post. After World War II, the name was changed to Crain-Ottman to honor Harry Ottman. The first meeting minutes that the post has are from 1922 when Fred Galoff was Commander.

Mark your calendars; the 100th National Convention of the American Legion will be in Minneapolis, MN, August 24 - 30, 2018.
