WILSON, WI – Stockman’s Farm Supply & More held their 3rd annual Harvest Fest on Saturday, October 14, 2017, at their rural Wilson, Wisconsin location. They had a great turn out, with community members from all over the area attending.

“Harvest Fest is all about being able to get local farming families together to celebrate the busy harvest season,” said Stockman’s Ian Schoenke.

Rain was predicted for the day of the event, but it held off for the most part. Harvest Fest 2017 included big boxes of beautiful bright orange pumpkins on sale at a great price for fall decorating and Halloween carving. Along with the pumpkins, there were plenty of colorful Fall Mums and other charming seasonal decorations for sale.

There were popular tractor-pulled hayrides out around the beautiful country grounds of the Stockman’s Wilson store for families to enjoy together. There were free fun kid’s games with lots of prizes for them to take home and enjoy playing with.

This year for Stockman’s Harvest Fest there was a tent for wine and beer samples that had the adults trying new flavors of old favorites. American Legion Post 73 had a tasty Brat stand fundraiser doing a good trade.  The Spring Valley-Elmwood Boy and Cub Scouts of Troop 145 had a fundraiser popcorn stand that was taking orders for that signature treat. Ron's Kettle Corn was there along with the United Fire and Rescue Baldwin Station Fire Department. The fire department held a 50/50 raffle to help raise funds for emergency equipment on their trucks.

New this year was the St. Croix County Sheriff's Department K-9 Unit doing training demonstrations. Guests at Stockman’s Harvest Fest had a great opportunity to get a glimpse into the training processes of the Sheriff's Department’s K-9 Unit’s hard-working dogs.

Inside the Stockman’s Farm Supply & More Wilson store they had plenty of tasty samples from Maple Essence Farms, in addition to lots of fantastic Harvest Fest in-store specials all day long!

“Harvest Festival is all about the farmers. Many farmers played a role in helping with our 3rd Annual Harvest Fest. We want to thank them for all of their hard work to provide food for our people nationwide!” said Stockman’s Ian Schoenke.

It was grand day with fun for all and Stockman’s Schoenke assured this reporter that they are already looking forward to having everyone one out to the Wilson store again in 2018 for the 4th Annual Stockman’s Harvest Fest. I’ll see you and your family, friends and neighbors at Stockman’s Farm Supply & More!
