SPRING VALLEY, WI – According to childhood friend Jennifer Joy, Rob Mooney of Spring Valley is in desperate need of a new kidney by way of a matching donor. Joy contacted me and other local media outlets, also started Facebook and Youcaring pages to shine a light on Rob’s plight.

  • St. Croix County retains strong bond rating

    HUDSON, WI – On January 30, Moody’s Investors Service assigned its Aa1 rating to St. Croix County’s $27 Million General Obligation (GO) Highway Maintenance Facility Bonds. The Aa1 rating is the second highest offered by the bond-rating agency. Bond buyers use the rating as a measure of creditworthiness when considering the purchase of bonds as an investment.

    Proceeds of St. Croix County’s bonds will finance land acquisition and construction of a 135,000 square foot highway and ancillary facilities necessary for storage and maintenance of St. Croix County equipment.

    SPRING VALLEY, WI – The Spring Valley Lions Club hosted their 18th Annual Ice Fishing Derby on beautiful Lake George in the Eau Galle Recreation Area on Saturday, February 10, 2018. It was a perfect robin’s egg blue-sky day with a temperature of about 14 degrees and no wind for a good day of fishing on Lake George.

  • Human trafficking and sexual predator sting conducted in St. Croix County

    HUDSON, WI – On Friday, February 9, 2018 Attorney General (AG) Brad Schimel announced Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ) Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) Human Trafficking Bureau agents, with the aid of local law enforcement, have arrested five individuals in a sting to arrest sex traffickers, “johns,” and child abusers in St. Croix County, and recovered two human trafficking victims.
