WOODVILLE, WI – Northside Power Equipment in Woodville was the site of a tasty fundraiser put on by four kids from St. John’s Lutheran Church in Spring Valley who are part of a group going on a mission trip shortly to Texas. There are eight students, their pastor and three chaperones going on the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA) Youth Gathering in Houston, Texas next week for seven days.

  • Senior Center to hold Brat Stand fundraiser at Nilssen’s

    WOODVILLE, WI – The Woodville Senior Center is hosting a Brat Stand fundraiser in the parking lot at the front of the grocery store at Nilssen’s Foods in Baldwin.  The store generously allows non-profit organizations to use their concession stand in an effort to raise funds for their programs.

Just ask Michael McDonnell of Spring Valley, Wisconsin, a UW-Eau Claire physics and mathematics major who received a middle-of-the-night email from the National Science Foundation telling him he is among an elite group of students selected to receive a prestigious fellowship that will fund his graduate studies.

    BALDWIN, WI – The St. Croix County Recycling program, in cooperation with local municipalities, will be sponsoring a series of tire and appliance collections on Saturday, June 16, 2018.

    SPRING VALLEY, WI – The Spring Valley Public Library is offering Food for Fines from June 6-July 5. Come in and donate a non-perishable item for the Spring Valley Community Food Pantry and have $1 per non-perishable item waived from your library account. Up to $10 in fines will be waived on fines accrued on Spring Valley Library materials. The food pantry is in particular need of the following: shampoo, Progresso and other healthy choice soups, canned fruit, baking supplies and Kleenex. What better way to not only gain access to more summer resources at your library but to also support those in need in the community!

  • St. Croix Valley PRCA Rodeo is June 15-16

    GLENWOOD CITY, WI – The St. Croix Valley PRCA Rodeo, named the 2015 Great Lakes Circuit Rodeo of the Year, brings top notch RAM Rodeo to St. Croix County Fairgrounds, Glenwood City, June 15 & 16, with 7:30pm performances.  Gates open at 4:30pm and the performances are rain or shine.

    BALDWIN, WI – Faced with a growing shortage of physicians, rural hospitals nationwide are using telemedicine to ensure consistent physician coverage, and now Western Wisconsin Health is the latest hospital to launch the innovative program. This program will go live at WW Health on Monday, May 28, 2018.

  • Woodville commemorates fallen during 2018 Memorial Day observance [ALBUM]

    WOODVILLE, WI –The Woodville American Legion Post 301, and the Auxiliary Unit 301 began their annual 2018 Memorial Day cemetery visitations on a very warm, Monday, May 28, at 9:20 am. The dedicated veterans group included stops first at Southside Cemetery, then Sunset Cemetery and Immanuel Cemetery.
