SPRING VALLEY, WI – Summer is off to a fabulous start at Syverson Pool this year! 

  • LEEPS volunteers wanted and needed

    NEW RICHMOND, WI – Volunteers are needed once a week for two hours to actively engage individuals with memory issues. Inquiries are welcomed. The LEEPS program (Language Enriched and Exercise Program with Socialization) is designed to help maintain function for people with a dementia diagnosis.

    WOODVILLE, WI -- The weekend all started on Thursday with the River Falls coronation. Faith and Lillie were lucky enough to have gone and watched a well put together pageant. Congratulations to the new River Falls Royal Ambassadors. They did an amazing job at their coronation, and their many events leading up to it.

    BALDWIN, WI – The community garden that was opened on the Western Wisconsin Health (WW Health) campus this May 2017 is flourishing. This season, we had 9 raised garden beds available for community members and employees. A large garden plot area is anticipated to open in the spring of 2018.

  • Three vehicle crash in Somerset includes tour bus that overturns with 41 passengers

    SOMERSET, WI – On Saturday July 15, 2017 at 2:19 p.m., the St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office responded to a three vehicle crash on STH 35 at 200th Ave. in the town of Somerset.

    ELMWOOD, WI – Good friends and community leaders Donna Lien and John Bates have been named as the 2017 UFO Days Grand Marshals. They were chosen for their years of community involvement and service. John and Donna will be introduced and recognized at the Miss Elmwood program on Friday, July 28, 2017, which begins at 7 p.m. in the historic Elmwood Auditorium.

    HUDSON, WI – Mike Kastens Area 6 Chairman of the Wisconsin Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Committee (ESGR), has announced that Ann Searles of United Way St. Croix Valley was presented with a Patriot Award by ESGR representative Mike Kastens in recognition of extraordinary support of one of their employees serving in the Naval Reserve.
