Submitted by Sheryl Buechter for CROP HUNGER WALK

WOODVILLE, WI – CROP Hunger Walks are community-wide events sponsored by Church World Service and organized by local congregations or groups to raise funds to end hunger at home and around the world.

CROP Hunger Walks help to provide food and water, as well as resources that empower people to meet their own needs. From seeds and tools, to wells and water systems, to technical training and micro-enterprise loans, the key is people working together to identify their own development priorities, their strengths and their needs something CWS has learned through some 70 years of working in partnership around the world.

The 2016 St. Croix County Crop Walk will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, 221 Lockwood, Woodville, WI on Sunday, October 2016. Registration is at 1:30 and the walk starts at 2:00. Please join us and help fight hunger locally and globally!!  More info:  crophungerwalk.org or 715-684-2997.
