BALDWIN WI -- You are invited to attend a new seminar designed to support parents as they guide their teens in making good decisions, avoiding risky behaviors, regulating their emotions, and communicating with respect. The seminar is designed to inform parents about adolescent development, give practical tools for navigating this potentially challenging life stage, and provide an opportunity for asking questions, sharing experiences, and to encourage other parents, grandparents, and guardians who are raising teens in our community.

The “Understanding Your Adolescent” seminars will take place at four different locations on four Saturdays in April, 2016 throughout Pierce and St. Croix Counties from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon: April 2, Hudson Middle School, April 9, Prescott Middle School, April 16, Somerset High School April 30, Viking Middle School (Woodville-Baldwin)

This 3-hour seminar will be facilitated by Brian Crim of Adulteen Counseling, in partnership with Pierce-St. Croix County CARES (Creating a Responsive and Effective System for Promoting and Protecting Our Children’s Wellbeing) with funding support through UW-Extension.

The cost is $5 per person to cover the cost of materials and refreshments. Participants can attend any location regardless of home address or school affiliation.
