NEW RICHMOND, WI -- The ADRC will be partnering with Teresa Kvam, RD, CD, St. Croix County Public Health/WIC Nutritionist to provide a variety of Nutrition Talks starting in January of 2017. 

Teresa Kvam is a Registered Dietitian who has worked in clinical nutrition, long-term care, corporate wellness, sports nutrition and education prior to her work with St. Croix County, where she has served as a Public Health/WIC Nutritionist for the past 13 years. Teresa is in her final semester to complete a master’s degree in nutrition.  She is the ADRC consultant dietitian and will be presenting quarterly nutrition talks to all interested Senior Dining Sites/Senior Centers.

  • ST. PAUL, MN — During Trauma Awareness Month in May, the American Red Cross urges eligible donors to give blood and help ensure a sufficient supply for patient emergencies.

    Donors of all blood types are needed this May. Every day, the Red Cross must collect approximately 14,000 blood donations to meet the needs of trauma patients and others with serious medical conditions.

  • WOODVILLE, WI.  – The Sons of Norway, Woodville’s Valkyrien Lodge will hold their April Meeting on Monday, April 25, 2016 at the Zion Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall.

    The speaker for the meeting will be Dr. Shaima Sulemankhil, MD, from the Baldwin Area Medical Clinic (BAMC). She joined the staff there in 2006 having studied in New Delhi, India, and completing her residency in internal medicine at Kabul University in Afghanistan. Dr. Sulemankhil will speak of her life experiences while studying there.  

  • WESTERN WI – The Third Annual Our Creative Routes studio art tour will be Saturday and Sunday, April 30 and May 1, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

    The work of artists from the Baldwin-Woodville and Spring Valley area include Pamela Clemens, Tanya Kober, John Koch, Emily Rohde, and Jason Rohde. Other artists are from Hammond, Hudson, New Richmond, River Falls, Roberts, and the Twin Cities.
