ELMWOOD, WI - On Saturday, June 6, 2015 the Elmwood High School Clay Target League returned to the State High School Clay Target League Tournament held south of Wisconsin Rapids.

The team was competing at the Wisconsin Trapshooting Association's Complex in Rome, Wisconsin. This second annual event drew more than double the number of athletes with 239 and quadrupled school participation with 23 schools competing for state honors.

The top five scores from each team makes up the total team score at the state tournament. Tyrell Johnson anchored Elmwood's effort by breaking a total of 90 targets to include a perfect 25 for one of his four rounds.

Tyrell ranked 8th in the state among varsity shooter's, earned 3rd overall male athlete for Conference 4A and was named to the All-State Team.

Completing Elmwood's total team score were Jaxon Klink (86), Nick Webb (85), Jason Larson (82) and Bryce Tiffany (82). Nick Webb was also named to the All-State Team.

The team gives special acknowledgement to the Elmwood Rod and Gun Club and their many community sponsors for the continued dedication and support during the past season.
