ELMWOOD, WI - The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 0207 of Elmwood donated 100 activity totes for the children of veterans at the Minneapolis V.A. Medical Center.
Sandra Werner president of Elmwood's American Legion Auxiliary Unit 0207 and River Bling Fabrics of Blythe, California donated all the fabric for making these activity totes. Jean Pfingstin, Ashley Morales, and Marilyn Galoff members of Elmwood's Auxiliary unit 0207 sewed all of these totes. Jean Pfingstin filled all of these totes with items that the Minneapolis V.A. Medical Center requested.
The money used to purchase these items came from poppy sales donations. Werner purchased the following items to put in the activity totes: puzzles, Crayola crayons, coloring books, activity books, pencils, word search books, stickers and sticker books, pencil sharpeners, and match box cars.
Virginia Place and Werner delivered all the totes to the Minneapolis V.A. Medical Center to Rhonda Boisvert, assistant director of voluntary services.
