BALDWIN, WI -- The Early Learning Staff at the Baldwin-Woodville School District is preparing for the future enrollment of your child in school.

The first step in this process is Child Development Days (sometimes called preschool screening). This year’s Child Development Days will be held on February 2, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon & 1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Gethsemane Lutheran Church 1350 Florence Street in Baldwin. You are invited to attend, if you live in the Baldwin-Woodville School District, have a preschool child between the ages of 2 years 10 months to 4 years 2 months old and have not attended previously.

Early childhood teachers, speech therapists, and school psychologists are involved in observing the children at play and interviewing the parents. Since some children begin school with undetected problems, which do not become apparent until later, Child Development Days is an opportunity to screen for possible obstacles. Through these screenings, parents can be reassured that their child’s development is progressing appropriately or be alerted to potential developmental difficulties.

If you have a preschool child between the ages of 2 years 10 months to 4 years 2 months old and have not previously attended Child Development Days, please call Tami at 684-3334 ext 2200 to schedule a time for your child to participate in this year’s screening. Walk-ins are accepted; however, scheduled appointments will receive priority.
