With so many changes in pumps, sensor covered by Medicare now, digital tools, we are constantly seeing change.  Speaking of change the Diabetes Support Group meeting date is changed to Wednesday, March 29 and the time of the meeting is changed to 6:00 p.m.

  • BALDWIN, WI – The Windmill Piecemaker’s Quilt Guild will be meeting on Monday, March 27, 2017, at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Baldwin, Wisconsin. 

  • BALDWIN, WI – On Wednesday, March 29, 2017 from 5:00-8:00 Baldwin Christian School will be having a fundraising event at the Baldwin Culver's.

    A portion of all sales during that period will go to benefit the school.

  • BALDWIN, WI — The St. Croix County Deer Advisory Council will meet to discuss preliminary antlerless quota recommendations, permit levels and season structure options for the 2017 deer hunting season.

    The Monday, March 20, 2017 meeting will take place at 7:00 p.m. at the DNR Service Center, 890 Spruce St., Baldwin. The public is encouraged to attend and provide written or verbal feedback.

    BALDWIN, WI – The Tuesday Community Supper is served the first Tuesday of every month at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 1350 Florence Street, Baldwin, Wisconsin, 54002. 

    This is a free meal open to anyone in the community, served from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. Area churches take turns preparing and serving good nutritious food every month.

  • BALDWIN, WI -- The executive director for the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) in St Croix County, Robert Forrest, reminds foreign persons with an interest in agricultural lands in the United States that they are required to report their holdings and any transactions to the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture.

    Debby Walters will lead a workshop on making “cement faces” for your garden.  Members are reminded to bring a cookie sheet for transporting it home, and any items they might want to use such as glass beads, nuts and bolts, nails etc., to make the face.  The cement and vinyl gloves will be supplied.  Dianne Erickson will be the hostess.

    BALDWIN, WI – Liquor Haus owners Pat and Donna Hayes had already been talking about doing a wine tasting when they were approached by area businessman Mark Tyler with an idea for a Valentine’s event to benefit Family Resource Center St. Croix Valley.

    BALDWIN, WI -- Western Wisconsin Health is hosting a free orthopedic seminar with Dr. Mark Romzek to discuss total joint replacement and other orthopedic procedures, from the initial signs and symptoms to surgical treatments and recovery.

  • TOWN OF BALDWIN, WI -- The monthly meeting of the Botany Belles & Beaus Garden Club will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2017, 6:30 p.m., at the Baldwin Town Hall.

    A presentation on the “National Garden Club Organization Structure” will be given by Wendy Kramer, District Director. This will help the newer club members to better understand how our local club is connected with the district, state and national organizations.

  • NEW RICHMOND, WI -- The ADRC will be partnering with Teresa Kvam, RD, CD, St. Croix County Public Health/WIC Nutritionist to provide a variety of Nutrition Talks starting in January of 2017. 

    Teresa Kvam is a Registered Dietitian who has worked in clinical nutrition, long-term care, corporate wellness, sports nutrition and education prior to her work with St. Croix County, where she has served as a Public Health/WIC Nutritionist for the past 13 years. Teresa is in her final semester to complete a master’s degree in nutrition.  She is the ADRC consultant dietitian and will be presenting quarterly nutrition talks to all interested Senior Dining Sites/Senior Centers. 

  • BALDWIN WI – UW-Extension will be hosting a Pork Quality Assurance certification class Wednesday January 18th, 2017, 2:00 PM, at the Ag Service & Education Center in Baldwin. 

    We expect this training to be 2 to 2.5 hours long.  Those who certified in 2014 will be asked to re-certify again in 2017. Historically we’ve held this training over the summer, but due to schedule changes we’re asking producers to certify this January.  Thus, you may have not yet received notice from the National Pork Board for re-certification due to our schedule change.
