  • WESTERN WI – WESTconsin Credit Union offices are collecting non-perishable food products and cash donations for families in need from December 11-16.

    Items can be dropped off at any WESTconsin location including Altoona, Amery, Baldwin, Barron, Chippewa Falls, Eau Claire, Ellsworth, Hudson, Menomonie (North, Downtown and East), New Richmond, Prescott, River Falls and Spring Valley. All proceeds will be delivered by the credit union to local food pantries for distribution.

    BALDWIN, WI – The Tuesday Community Supper is served the first Tuesday of every month at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 1350 Florence Street, Baldwin, Wisconsin, 54002. 

  • MENOMONIE, WI – This holiday season, WESTconsin Credit Union (WCU) will host The Mitten Tree campaign—a Kindness Counts initiative. Each office will display The Mitten Tree—a tree in its lobby decorated with donated mittens, gloves, hats, scarfs and more.

    The purpose of The Mitten Tree is to collect cold weather apparel and accessories for those in need as the winter season’s sub-zero temperatures set in. Last year, the credit union collected 2,250 items and $2,747.46 in support of this cause.

  • BALDWIN, WI – The Windmill Quilt Guild Piece Makers will meet on Monday, October 23, 2017 at 9.a.m. at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 1350 Florence Street, Baldwin, WI.

  • BALDWIN, WI – The monthly meeting of the Botany Belles & Beaus Garden Club will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2017, 6:30 p.m., at the Baldwin Town Hall, 2399 90TH Avenue, Baldwin, WI 55402.

    A program on "Making Fall Decorations" will be led by Rocky Gerhardt and Ilse Hancock. The hostesses will be Bonnie Ringer and Ellen Hurtgen.

  • BALDWIN, WI – There will be a meeting of the St. Croix Valley Beekeepers Association on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 7 p.m.

    The meeting will be held at Peace Lutheran Church, 2084 County Rd. N, Baldwin WI 54002.

  • BALDWIN, WI – The Tuesday Community Supper is served the first Tuesday of every month at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 1350 Florence Street, Baldwin, Wisconsin, 54002. 

    This is a free meal open to anyone in the community, served from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m.  Area churches, businesses and organizations take turns preparing and serving good nutritious food every month.

  • BALDWIN, WI -- The public is invited to view the flower show "Reaping the Harvest" and the photography contest sponsored by the Botany Belles & Beaus Garden Club, held at DJ's Fiesta Event Center on Baldwin’s Main Street. 

    Anyone from the community may enter in the horticulture division of the flower show which includes flowers, houseplants, foliage and produce. For details, the flower show schedules are available at the public libraries.

  • BALDWIN, WI – The Windmill Piecemaker’s Quilt Guild will be meeting on Monday, September 25, 2017, at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Baldwin, Wisconsin.

    Coffee will be served at 8:45, with a business meeting at 9:00 a.m.

This event is planned to commemorate the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America’s (ELCA) Freed and Renewed in Christ – 500 Years of God’s Grace in Action church-wide celebration.

  • BALDWIN, WI – Master Gardener Volunteer training will be offered by University of Wisconsin Extension beginning Monday, September 11, 2017, at the St. Croix County Agricultural Service and Education Center in Baldwin, Wisconsin.

    Master Gardeners are members of the local community who are trained by University of Wisconsin Extension educators and specialists in a broad range of plant science topics. Topics to be covered, among others, include basic botany, soils and composting, plant diseases and insects, trees and shrubs, annuals and perennials, lawn care, vegetables, fruits, wildlife, native plants, weeds, organic growing and houseplants.
