Do you have a very special friend or relative who is over 60 years old? He or she could be one of Pierce County’s Most Admired Senior Citizens. ANYONE CAN MAKE A NOMINATION. No matter what your age, you can nominate your favorite Pierce County senior citizen. Just fill out an entry form as completely as you can and have that special friend or relative sign the statement at the end of the entry. ANYONE OVER 60 CAN WIN. This free event is not a popularity contest, beauty pageant or celebrity sweepstakes. It is, however, a chance for older adults to receive the recognition they deserve. Winners will be selected on the basis of current activity, rather than past accomplishments. The three most admired Pierce County senior citizen winners will be announced on Friday, August 10, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at a special program at the Pierce County Fair. RULES 1. The decisions of the judges are final. 2. Person nominated must have reached sixty (60) years of age by July 1, 2018 and be a resident of Pierce County. 3. The entrant must acknowledge nomination by signing the release form at the end of the application/entry form. 4. Application, photo and other information cannot be returned. A photo must be included. 5. This entry valid for 2018 only. 6. Please be sure that all pertinent information is included with this entry. Include any details that will help the judges in making their final decision. After the entry is received, the judges will be unable to accept any new information. so make certain you have not omitted any information. 7. Nomination deadline is July 20, 2018 (postmarked). Winners will be notified by letter. 8. Entry form can be obtained by calling the Fair Office at 715-273-6874 or visiting the Fair website at: and click on Most Admired Senior Citizen. 45th Annual Stockholm Art Fair FINE ART and Live Music The 45th Stockholm Art Fair, a juried fine arts show, will be held on Saturday, July 21st from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Village Park in Stockholm, Wisconsin, With the beautiful backdrop of Lake Pepin, this is an art fair for all the senses and all ages. Set in the unique river town ambiance that is Stockholm, five favorite regional musical groups will be playing throughout the day, including the ever-popular Hot Flashes. Unique and almost completely locally sourced food will also be available. For a perfect way to spend a summer day along the Mississipii River, come to the Stockholm Art Fair on Saturday, July 21st. Some parking is available at the park and plenty of free parking is just a short, free-shuttle bus, ride away. Plan to come early, stay late, and bring the whole family. Children 4K through 5th grade are invited to join us and grow their faith during First Reformed’s Vacation Bible School at 1120 11th Avenue, Baldwin, Wisconsin. The five days of Vacation Bible School explore the reasons to PRAISE God: His Greatness, His Authority, His Providence, His Power, and His Love for us. Each day begins with lively music followed by a Bible story, crafts, games and a tasty snack. This curriculum is created by Go Fish, a popular children’s Christian music group and features original songs by them. VBS begins at 9:00 and concludes at 12:00 and runs from Monday, July 30 through Friday, August 3, 2018. Escorts are available for children to walk to First Reformed from the Junior Hawks program.
